Hamburgers

The iconic American classic cooked in an unconventional way.

1 pound ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon red wine
1/4 onion, finely minced
- Salt and pepper
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger root, minced

Preheat oven for 5 minutes before cooking. Place ground beef in a bowl; add egg, salt, wine, ginger and pepper. Mix well. Make 4 meat patties. Brush burgers with olive oil on one side. Place them on the rack with oiled side down. Brush the top of the burgers. Follow the broiling instruction to position the rack, and make sure not to touch the heating elements. Broil about 4-6 minutes; turn halfway through cooking.
