Pepper Steak Burritos

Cook an entire Mexican-style meal in your rice cooker.

6 strips bacon, uncooked
2 pounds beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1 medium yellow onion, peeled and sliced in thick rings
2 tablespoons jalapeno peppers, sliced
1 red bell pepper, cored and sliced
1 green bell pepper, cored and sliced
3 tablespoons beef broth
1 tablespoons sour cream
8 flour tortillas
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

Close the lid and press the Steam/Cook button to preheat the Aroma rice cooker for approximately 10 minutes. Open the lid, using caution to avoid steam burns. Place the bacon in the inner pot and saute, using a long-handled plastic spoon to stir as the bacon browns. Set aside. Place the steak slices in the bacon drippings and saute until lightly browned. Set aside and place the garlic, onion and peppers in the inner pot, stirring as the vegetables soften. Saute just until tender. Return the beef and bacon to the inner pot, add the beef broth and sour cream and blend well. Wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and place in the steam tray. Place the steam tray in the inner pot and close the lid. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Open the lid, add the cilantro to the burrito filling and spoon the filling into the warm tortillas. Top each filled burrito with the shredded cheese. Wrap the burritos tightly and serve while warm.
