Jambalaya Quiche

A traditional Cajun dish combined with a quiche. Flavors can easily be substituted for new flavor combinations.

Prep: 20 min. Total: 60 min.

Rice
1 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup grated gouda cheese
6 eggs
1/2 pound ground beef
2 cloves garlic
1/3 cup chopped green onions
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 10-inch round uncooked pie shell

Cook rice in Aroma Professional Series 10-Cup Sensor Logic Rice Cooker (ARC-1000) according to manufacturer's directions. Combine 1 1/2 cups cooked rice, cream, milk, cheese and beaten eggs. Brown meat with minced garlic, chopped green onions and seasoning. Drain fat from meat and mix with rice mixture. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. To serve, cut quiche into 4 wedges.
