Aroma's Favorite Fried Bananas
We don't mean to play favorites, but these are really good.
Yield: Serves 3 to 4
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbls sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup powder sugar
2 tsp vegetable oil
3-5 bananas, cut into 1-inch pieces
canola oil for frying
Dip each banana, 1 inch in length, into batter and allow excess batter to drip off. Lower frying basket into the preheated oil of the deep dryer. Slowly place battered bananas into the frying basket, one at a time, using a draining spoon or other metal utensil.
Fry all bananas until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes. Drain excess oil by placing bananas on a clean paper towel. Sprinkle fried bananas with powder sugar and serve immediately.
