Orange Rice Pilaf

A great side dish for chicken, pork or fish.

Prep: 5 min Total: 35 min Yield: Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients

1 cup Mahatma® or Carolina® White Rice

2 tblsp unsalted butter

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped or 1 tblsp dried onion flakes

zest of 1 orange

juice of 2 oranges plus enough chicken broth to make 1 3/4 cups liquid

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup slivered toasted almonds

Add all ingredients to the inner pot of your rice cooker, except toasted almonds. Close lid, press Steam/Cook and cook until liquid evaporates, about 20 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes. Top with toasted almonds and serve immediately.

I done this recipe and it's delicious! I add fresh orange juice rather than water. Beside that I add my touch of fresh garlic and some Spanish ingredient. Add you special touch in this recipe!
