Southern Fried Chicken

A healthier alternative to a Southern favorite.

Ingredients

1 whole chicken

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon paprika

- Vegetable oil

Cut whole chicken into quarters. Marinate in milk, garlic salt and black pepper for 15 minutes. Shake in a plastic or brown paper bag with flour and paprika, covering chicken liberally with mixture. Roll flour-covered chicken in oil and bake at 300 degrees F for 20 minutes and at 475 degrees F for 5 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
