Sweet Corn

Rice can be cooked while steaming at the same time. Refer to your instruction manual for directions.

Prep: 5 min Total: 15 min

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups water

fresh corn, trimmed and cut in half if needed

Remove corn husks and silk and trim as needed. Place corn ears in the Steam Tray. Add 1 1/2 cups water to the inner pot of your rice cooker and add the steam tray. Cover and set to Steam for 10 minutes.

 

Using oven mitts, remove the Steam Tray immediately. Season corn as desired and serve hot.

I have been doing this for 2 weeks. It is sweet corn season here. This is absolutely the best way that I have ever cooked sweet corn and it is so easy. Instead of cutting them in half. I arrange up to 8 ears with one end down and the other end up about 60 degrees with the small end point up. They each lay on eachother and I twist them until they lay low enough to close lid. I think if I did more that 7 ears that I would have to cut them to fit my 20 cupper.
