Chunky Monkey Fried Treats
Banana, chocolate and cashews-a melt in your mouth treat!

canola oil (for fryer)
1 cup self-rising flour
1/4 cup finely chopped salted cashews
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 large egg
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons canola oil
3 large (not fully ripe) bananas, peeled and quartered
1 jar chocolate ice cream sauce
In a medium bowl, add together the flour, cashews, nutmeg, cinnamon and stir until well blended. Add the egg, milk and canola oil. Mix until batter is combined; set aside. Dip each banana quarter in the batter and add it to the heated oil. Cook 3–4 banana pieces at a time. Fry the bananas for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turn over once while frying. Remove the bananas from the oil and drain on absorbent paper. Repeat the process with the remaining bananas.
Chocolate sauce may be warmed up and drizzled over the pieces of banana RIGHT BEFORE serving.
