Bloody Mary Olives

A tasty deep-fried tidbit with a zippy dip.

Prep: 10 min Total: 15 min Yield: batter coats at least 20 large olives


Canola oil for frying

1-2 jars of large green olives with pimento


1 cup flour

2 tbsp sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp celery salt

1 1/4 cup milk

1 large egg

Bloody Mary Dip

1 cup sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

3 Tbsp spicy Bloody Mary Mix

1 tsp celery salt

1/2 tsp vodka (optional)

Heat oil in Aroma deep fryer. Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine dry ingredients for batter. Then add remaining ingredients. Dip olives in batter one at a time to coat. place in deep fryer until golden brown; 4 to 5 minutes. Serve 2 to 3 olives on a skewer along with Bloody Mary Dip. To make dip, mix together all ingredients in a small bowl and refrigerate till ready to serve. I placed dip in a drink glass garnished with lime wedge and celery.
