Slow Pork Blanco
Pork slow roasted with white wine in a slow cooker.
Prep: 20 min Total: 8 hours Yield: 4- 6
1 (5-pound) pork roast
4T all purpose Seasoning
2 bay leaves
2 rosemary sprigs
1 medium onion, sliced
5 Cloves garlic, peeled
½ cup dry white wine
Cut 4 small slits randomly in roast and insert 1 garlic clove into each slit. Then rub pork generously with oil then seasonings.
Heat a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add oil to evenly coat pan and when the oil is hot and is just beginning to smoke, add the pork and brown on all sides. Transfer the pork to slow cooker. Add the onions, last garlic clove, rosemary, bay leaves and wine. Cover and cook in slow cooker for 8 to 10 hours. Serve pork over braised greens or steamed rice.
