Garlic Shrimp Rice Bowl

It's a complete meal made completely in your rice cooker!

Prep: 5 min Total: 30 min Yield: 2

Ingredients

1 cup Mahatma® or Carolina® White Rice

1 1/2 cups water

1/2 lb frozen shrimp

1 cup broccoli

1/2 cup bell pepper, diced

2 tsp olive oil

1 tblsp garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

1 tsp red pepper flakes

Add rice and water to the inner pot. Close the lid and set to White Rice or press Cook. Once there are about 12 minutes left for the rice to cook, place shrimp, broccoli and bell pepper in Steam Tray. Carefully add to rice cooker and continue cooking.

The rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep-Warm once your meal is ready. Toss all ingredients together in the inner pot and enjoy!

This was delicious and easy to make. It only takes 30 minutes to complete as well. I will be making this again. If you don't like spicy hot food cut down pepper flakes in half. I also added twice as much olive oil. I put the minced garlic, salt, and pepper flakes in the oil as the rice was cooking. It infused together while the meal was cooking.
