Easy-to-Make Spanish Rice

Delicious Spanish Rice made easy.

Total: 45-55 minutes Yield: Serves 4-6


2 cups Mahatma® or Carolina® White Rice

2 tblsp olive oil

1 onion, finely chopped

2 tblsp butter

2 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable stock

1 tblsp tomato paste

pinch of oregano

1 tsp salt

1 clove garlic, peeled and minced

Set rice cooker to Sauté-Then-Simmer™. Allow to heat and add rice, olive oil, onion and garlic. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir ingredients frequently and allow to sauté for roughly 5 minutes, or until onion is soft.


Add remaining ingredients and close the lid. Once rice is finished, the rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep-Warm.
