One-Pot Pasta with Meat Sauce
Leave that huge pot of boiling water behind.
Prep: 15 min Total: 30 min
1 lb ground beef, pork, or a mixture of both
1 tblsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tblsp parsley, chopped
1 qt crushed tomatoes
1 cup tomato juice
salt and pepper
2 cups penne or other short pasta
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
On Sauté-Then-Simmer™, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft. Add ground meat and brown until cooked through.
Pour in tomatoes, tomato juice and parsley, season with salt and pepper and add pasta. Close the lid and continue cooking for the amount of time indicated in the pasta cooking directions.
Stir and serve with Parmesan cheese.
