One-Pot Pasta Pomodoro
12 oz spaghetti
15-oz can diced tomatoes
1/2 onion, julienned
2 cloves garlic, chopped
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 tbsp olive oil
1 sprig fresh thyme
4 basil leaves, julienned
optional: 1 tsp red pepper flakes
salt and pepper
Parmesan cheese for serving
Add all ingredients except cheese, and salt and pepper to the inner pot of your rice cooker and give it a stir. Set to Steam for 13 minutes and close the lid.
Halfway through cooking, give it one more stir to assure pasta is separated and continue to cook until your rice cooker beeps.
Stir in salt and pepper to taste, top with cheese and enjoy!
