Steaming Food

Steaming is one of the most nutritious means of cooking, locking in many of the nutrients and minerals that are often lost with other food preparation methods. Sounds like a fancier way to say 'flavorless,' right? Except that steaming uses water vapor to maintain flavor without any fat or oil, so food really can be healthy and delicious. Rice cookers that include a Steam function, Steam Tray or Steam Rack have the ability to steam food.
