  • Q: Why does my kettle continue to boil?

    There are a few reasons the kettle may continuously boil, including the following:

    1. The filter is missing or not properly installed. Make sure the filter is properly installed on the kettle.

    2. The lid is not properly closed. Make sure the lid is closed securely.

    3. Mineral deposits can form around the sensor which is located in the inside of the kettle causing the unit to not function properly. To remove mineral deposits, try filling the kettle halfway with water and adding a few slices of lemon, then boil. If this does not work, fill the kettle half way with water and bring to a boil. Add one cup of white vinegar to the water in the kettle and allow mixture to soak overnight. Empty the mixture, rinse out the kettle and refill the kettle with water only. Bring it to a boil and empty again. Repeat as needed.

    It is recommended to do a mineral deposit rinse every 2-3 months.

  • Q: Once the water has reached a boil does it continue to boil?

    Once the water has reached the boiling point the 'Heat' indicator light will go off and the 'Warm' indicator light will illuminate. The unit will remain in the 'Warm' mode until the unit is unplugged.
